BVB friends and colleagues:
I'd like to ask you to consider a fun way to lend your support to a cause that has become somewhat of a springtime tradition.
Sam's Day is an awareness and fundraising family fun event that we conceived 6 years ago, when our youngest son Sam was diagnosed with a rare and deadly form of childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma.
Sam's recovery from his cancer is a blessing, but the mortality rate for neuroblastoma is still alarming. With the support of friends, family, and community, past Sam's Day events have raised over $180,000 for the James Fund at Sick Kids' Hospital which supports leading edge investigation of neuroblastoma treatment therapies by researchers.
This year, Sam's Day Rock 'n Bowl will be held on Saturday June 5, at Prime Time Bowl in Burlington. There are plenty of ways to get involved- please see the links to the Sam’s Day webpage- but I'd especially like to challenge each of the BVB teams to trade in their spikes for bowling shoes for a day!
If I can answer any of your questions about how you can get involved, please feel free to contact me or my wife Andrea anytime.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Cheers,
Jay Lack
